Installation

Add the extension to your store with Composer — requirements, access credentials, and the commands.

Before you start

Take a backup and install on a staging environment first. On a live store, enable maintenance mode for the install.

Requirements

The extension supports Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce from 2.1 through 2.4.9. Each Magento version has its own release line of the extension — the Changelog has the full mapping — and follows that Magento version’s own PHP requirements (the current line supports up to PHP 8.4).

Running Magento 1 or OpenMage? See Magento 1 (legacy). Using the Hyvä theme? See Hyvä checkout for your options.

Add the Composer repository

From your Magento root:

bash
composer config repositories.ebizmarts composer https://packages.ebizmarts.com

Authenticate

The packages are served from ebizmarts’ private repositories, so Composer needs credentials for three hosts. Register them from your Magento root, replacing your_token in each command with your access token:

bash
composer config http-basic.gitlab.ebizmarts.com token your_token
composer config http-basic.sagepay.gitlab.ebizmarts.com token your_token
composer config http-basic.brippo.gitlab.ebizmarts.com token your_token
Where your token comes from

The token is in the order confirmation email you received when you purchased the extension — the same token goes into all three commands. Can’t find the email? Contact ebizmarts support and we’ll send it to you.

Two things to know: a new token is generated every time your subscription renews, so update these credentials after each annual renewal — and tokens are per product (the Hyvä module uses its own token and username). Licensing & tokens has the full picture.

Install the extension

Require the package that matches your Magento version:

Magento version Command
2.4.8 – 2.4.9 composer require ebizmarts/sagepaysuite ^10.48
2.4.0 – 2.4.7 composer require ebizmarts/sagepaysuite ^10.4
2.3 composer require ebizmarts/sagepaysuite ^10.3
2.2 composer require ebizmarts/sagepaysuite ^10.2
2.1 composer require ebizmarts/sagepaysuite ^10.1

Then finish from the Magento root:

bash
bin/magento setup:upgrade
bin/magento setup:di:compile
bin/magento cache:flush

On a production-mode store, also run bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy before the cache flush.

Composer says the token is invalid or expired

Remove the repository entry and start again — then re-add it and re-authenticate:

bash
composer config --unset repositories.ebizmarts

The packages are served from source repositories rather than dist archives, so a cold install can be slow — if a CI build times out mid-download, raise COMPOSER_PROCESS_TIMEOUT and retry.

Check it worked

Open Stores → Configuration → Sales → Payment Methods. The ebizmarts Payments Suite section — the Opayo by Elavon (formerly Sage Pay) integration — appears in the list of payment methods, ready to configure.

Manual installation

If Composer isn’t an option, the extension can also be installed from a ZIP: upload it to a temporary folder outside the Magento root and extract it. Delete any pre-existing SagePaySuite module folders under app/code/Ebizmarts, copy the extracted module folders for your Magento version into app/code/Ebizmarts, then run the same setup:upgrade and setup:di:compile commands. Contact support for the package and we’ll walk you through it — Composer remains the recommended route because upgrades stay a one-line command.

Next: ConfigurationConnect your Opayo account and choose your integration method — PI, Server or Form.
